HEMA recorded net sales of €308.2 million in Q3 FY17, an increase of 2.3% compared to the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA* increased to €34.4 million, 10.1% higher than Q3 FY16. Net profit came in at €4.6 million in the third quarter, compared with a loss of €1.6 million in the prior year period. In particular the sales of household goods, personal care products and food increased strongly.
HEMA’s net sales increased to €287.0 million in Q2 FY17, up 3.3% compared to the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA* came in at €24.8 million in Q2 FY17, up 13.2% over Q2 FY16. HEMA saw particularly strong sales growth in household goods, personal care products and apparel. HEMA also recorded a significant increase in online sales and further improvement in gross margin.
21 September 2017 – HEMA is launching a pilot in the Benelux to test its successful international store concept in its large stores. The pilot also includes HEMA’s new concept for its food departments and restaurants. This new concept is HEMA’s response to the trend towards healthy and convenient foods both at home and elsewhere. The first pilot store opens today in Tilburg, and this will be followed by stores in Antwerp, Brussels, Maassluis and Veghel. After the pilot period, HEMA will decide how the international formula, including the new food concept, will be rolled out in around 250 stores.
Amsterdam, 26 June 2017. HEMA recorded a 4.8% increase in net sales in Q1 FY17 compared with the same period of FY16. Like-for-like consumer sales were up 2.7% in Q1 FY17 and adjusted EBITDA* increased 11.4% to € 17.6 million. This is the ninth consecutive quarter of like-for-like consumer sales growth. HEMA’s results were driven by successful product range renewals, which resulted in higher sales in household goods & personal care products and apparel.
HEMA reports net sales of € 1,193.2 million in FY16, an increase of 4.7% compared to the previous year. This is the highest sales figure HEMA has ever reported. Adjusted EBITDA came in 26.5% higher at € 108.2 million. In Q4 FY16, HEMA recorded a net sales increase of 9.2% compared to the prior year period and group like-for-like consumer sales increased by 6.6%. This is the eighth consecutive quarter of group like-for-like consumer sales growth. HEMA’s full-year results were driven by successful range renewals, a strong Q4, higher online sales and international growth.
